A Thankful Day

In a break between rounds of cooking, we want to wish all who celebrate a heartfelt, peaceful Thanksgiving Day. May you and yours spend warm-hearted time together on this gathering day.

We have much to be grateful for, after a challenging year filled with health issues and encompassing decisions regarding our future. We are thankful to have a roof over our heads, bountiful food in the pantry, a loving, supportive family, fulfilling work, a ‘happy place’ studio and our fur companions who are the best ever.

The holiday decorations are in place, the appie plate is loaded, the favorite family recipes are prepared and the pumpkin pie is baked. This year, we’ve brought out my Mother’s fine china and Auntie May’s special silverware to grace our dining. Although these beloved women have passed, in spirit they will be at the table with us. In our family, Thanksgiving has always been a significant observance of what we are thankful for and a joyful celebration of family and connections.
