My new torch set-up has arrived: a Smith Little Torch with an oxygen condensor.
No more trying to use a heavy, unwieldy torch head or worrying about the dangerous oxygen tank sitting under my work bench. A ‘small’ propane cylinder now provides the flambe’ soldering juice and contributes to a safer working space. Thank you Rio – I breath a bit easier with this set-up.

I’ll still use the big torch for melting and casting work, but it lives in a different part of the shop with the welding tools and tanks.
Now that winter weather has departed and the shop is warmer, lapidary and bench time are booked.
Fair warning: Don’t ask me to do anything, cause Ima making jewelry.
